Questions founders ask us
01.How do you estimate timelines?
We scope first: what needs to be designed, built and integrated, and which parts are risky. You get a written schedule with milestones and demo dates before anything starts. Most MVPs land between 6 and 10 weeks.
02.How do you use AI in development?
AI tools help us draft code, generate tests, write migrations and documentation faster. They don’t decide architecture, and nothing reaches your codebase until an engineer has reviewed it, run it and is willing to put their name on it.
03.Who owns the code, including AI-generated parts?
You do. All code, designs and assets are assigned to you on final payment. We use business-tier AI tools that don’t train on your data, and we never paste secrets or customer data into them.
04.Can you handle just one stage of a project?
Yes. Some clients bring us in for discovery and design only, others hand over an existing codebase for us to extend. We work end to end or plug into the stage you need.
05.Do I need a fully defined brief?
No. An idea, a spreadsheet you’ve outgrown or a problem you keep hitting is enough. Shaping that into a clear scope is part of our job.
06.How does pricing work?
Fixed price for well-defined scopes, monthly retainers for ongoing product work. Every proposal lists scope, phases, timeline and cost, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
07.Can you work on a product that’s already live?
Yes. We regularly take over live products to redesign flows, fix performance issues, add features or modernise an ageing stack, without a full rewrite unless one is really needed.
08.Do you offer support after launch?
Yes. Most clients keep us on a light retainer for fixes, improvements and new features. Launch is usually where the most useful feedback starts.
09.How do we communicate during the project?
A shared Slack or WhatsApp channel, a weekly demo, and a single lead who stays with your project from kickoff to launch. You’ll always know what’s been built and what’s next.
10.Do you work with teams outside Singapore?
Yes. A few of our clients are based in Malaysia and Indonesia, and several Singapore clients sell across the region, like the collections platform in our work. We’re on GMT+8, which overlaps comfortably with most of APAC.
Notes from the studio
Vibe coding vs. AI-assisted engineering: what founders should know
Both use AI to write code. Only one leaves you with something you can maintain a year later.
