E-commerce with same-day delivery slots across the island.
The florist was taking orders through a generic shop template that showed every delivery slot as available. On busy days they were calling customers to apologise, refunding orders and sending drivers on impossible routes.
They also needed the site to sell the arrangements properly: the flowers change every week, and the old product photos never matched what arrived.
Our approach
- Real slot capacityDelivery slots now draw from a simple capacity table the studio manager updates each morning. Full slots disappear; nearly-full slots say so.
- Weekly bouquets as a featureA “this week” collection is refreshed every Monday from a phone, with a photo shot in the studio’s own light.
- Card messages that fitA live preview of the printed card, with a character limit that matches the actual card size.
- Corporate ordersA short form for recurring office flowers, which now brings in about a fifth of revenue.
What we’d do differently
Valentine’s Day 2025 still hurt. Capacity was right, but the team couldn’t photograph and upload 300 orders’ worth of proof-of-delivery fast enough, and the support inbox filled up. The next release batched photos by driver, which we should have tested against a peak day first.
“We stopped spending our mornings on the phone apologising. That alone paid for the project.”
